Our Background

Nelson and Renee Yong deeply understand the need for tutoring especially when it comes to getting ready for college. As siblings growing up in Los Angeles, they found inadequate preparation for college through years in the public school system. Through several years of private and group tutoring, Nelson and Renee found immediate success– from increased SAT scores to an “overspill” into AP classes, overall vocabulary, and most of all, confidence. (Nelson, for example, jumped from a 970 PSAT score in his freshman year to about 1500 on the SAT in his junior year. Note- this was when the SAT was out of 1600, not  the current 2400.)

Both Renee and Nelson graduated with high honors in their high school classes, with Nelson graduating as a high school valedictorian. They have gone onto to get their degrees at prestigious universities at UCLA and Wellesley College. Post-college, they have a combined 10 years of work experience in Fortune 50 companies, law firms and investment forums.
